St Andrews Industry Day 2026
Light for Life: Optical Innovations in Health Imaging, Sensing and Spectroscopy, this year’s annual industry day, took place yesterday in the school of physics. It featured talks from Graham and Ifor, as well as Alison McLeod, former group member and now the director of Photonics Scotland. Among the demonstrations Ben had a stall showcasing his work on detecting bacterial growth. Overall it was a highly informative and interesting event, exploring the intersection of academia and industry in the development of light technologies.
